Brief history of the two male and female schools operated by the Board of Trustees of the Columbia Academy, located in the state capital of South Carolina; dicusses the creation of the academy in 1786; the integration of the private Columbia Academy's schools with the public system of Richland School District One in the 1970s; and the monetary donations contributed by the Academy Board of Trustees in Richland County, S.C. Presented at Richland County Public Library in August, 1996.
